 The phoenix : A poem of grandeur.

Summoned upon dust,

Conceived of the fire,

Unfathomable words the scripture holds . 

A stake to the chest,

A tiny bird it was told ,

Marvellous wonders it awaits in the unknown.

A jurisdiction of upheaval sat to task,

Genius ways to live the legendary uphold .

I wrote this poem a few weeks ago , it goes along with the sketch I drew of the phoenix bird above. Let's dive into its meaning , read till the end for the metaphorical evaluation .

 

let's dissect each line:

Summoned upon dust,

Conceived of the fire,

Unfathomable words the scripture holds.

1."Summoned upon dust": This suggests that the phoenix is called forth from humble beginnings or a state of decay, emphasizing its association with renewal and rebirth.Dust, can symbolize the starting point from which something significant arises.

2."Conceived of the fire": This line emphasizes the phoenix's connection to fire. It can be interpreted metaphorically to mean being born or created from intense passion, inspiration, or ambition. Fire often symbolizes energy, creativity, and transformation. So, being conceived of the fire suggests that something or someone originates from a place of intense passion or creative energy. Here , it represents the phoenix's origin story, suggesting that it arises from flames or is born out of intense heat and energy, symbolizing renewal and rebirth. 

3."Unfathomable tales the scripture holds": This implies that the scripture contains stories or narratives that are incredibly difficult to fully comprehend. It suggests that the scripture holds deep and mysterious wisdom that may be beyond ordinary understanding. The phoenix is filled with profound and mysterious truths, suggesting that its narrative holds deeper meanings beyond surface-level interpretation.

When we put these lines together, they evoke imagery of the phoenix rising from ashes, born out of the transformative power of fire, and carrying within its story the wisdom of ages, waiting to be deciphered and understood.

A tiny bird it was told,

4. "A stake through the chest": This imagery suggests a moment of great trial or adversity ,as the saying "A stake to the chest" is a phrase often associated with vampire lore. It refers to driving a wooden stake through the heart of a vampire as a means of killing or incapacitating it. In a broader sense, it can symbolize defeating or destroying something threatening or harmful. It's as if the phoenix is faced with a mortal wound. 

5."A tiny bird it was told": This line emphasizes the humble beginnings of the phoenix, portrayed as a small and seemingly insignificant creature.

6. "Marvellous wonders it awaits in the unknown": This line suggests that despite the trials and uncertainties the phoenix faces, it holds a belief in the promise of extraordinary experiences and discoveries in uncharted territories or the afterlife.

When we combine these lines, they portray the phoenix's journey through adversity, its potential for transformation and greatness, and its unwavering faith in the profound mysteries and wonders that lie beyond.

It implies striving for greatness or eminence in one's actions, and the wisdom that is aquired by living through life's chaos.
